Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Spatula or tongs
  • Measuring spoons and cups
  • Knife and cutting board

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless pork chops
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ teaspoon lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Pat the pork chops dry with a paper towel, then season both sides generously with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  • Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the butter is melted and sizzling, add the pork chops. Cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown. Remove the chops from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Slowly stir in the chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Let it simmer for 2 minutes.
  • Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and lemon juice. Simmer the sauce for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.
  • Add the pork chops back to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top. Let them simmer in the sauce for 5-7 minutes until fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 145°F).
  • Remove the skillet from the heat. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve hot with your favorite sides.

Notes

✔ For the most taste and juiciness choose thick-cut boneless or bone-in pork chops. Chops that are too thin could cook too rapidly and dry out.
✔ Use paper towels to pat the pork chops before seasoning. This keeps them from heating when they hit the pan and guarantees a nicer sear.
