Ingredients
  

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • ½ medium onion finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro chopped (optional garnish)

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil and butter in a pan over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until soft, about 3 minutes. Stir in minced garlic and sauté for another 30 seconds.
  • Pour in the white wine, let it simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly reduced.
  • Stir in heavy cream, ground cumin, oregano, and smoked paprika—season with salt and black pepper. Simmer gently for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add freshly squeezed lemon juice and stir well. Let it simmer for another minute to blend flavors.
  • Remove from heat. Spoon over grilled chicken, pasta, or fish. Garnish with chopped fresh cilantro if desired.
