Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup grape jelly
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon chipotle powder adjust to your spice preference
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper adjust to taste
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the grape jelly and ketchup. Stir until the jelly has melted and the mixture is smooth.
  • Stir in the apple cider vinegar, chipotle powder, minced garlic, onion powder, smoked paprika, rosemary, ground mustard, and cayenne pepper.
  • Bring the sauce to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low. Allow the sauce to simmer gently for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.
  • Season the sauce with salt and black pepper according to your taste preferences. Adjust the level of cayenne pepper for desired spiciness.

Special Note
For a variation, try another jelly; Cherry jelly or preserves are wonderful; just don’t use anything too chunky.
