Green Chili Creamy Sauce is a rich, velvety blend of green chilies, cream, and aromatic spices that delivers a perfect balance of heat and smoothness. This flavorful sauce adds a creamy, tangy kick to any dish, combining comfort and spice in every spoonful.

Ingredients
2tablespoonsbutter or olive oil
1small onionfinely chopped
2–3 garlic clovesminced
14-ounce can diced green chilies
½cupsour cream
½cupheavy cream
1teaspoonlime juice
½teaspoonground cumin
1teaspoondried oregano
Salt and freshly ground black pepperto taste
Fresh parsley or basilchopped — for garnish (optional)
Instructions
In a medium saucepan, heat butter or olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the finely chopped onion and cook for about 3–4 minutes, until the onion becomes soft and translucent. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds, until fragrant.
Stir in the diced green chilies along with their juices. Sprinkle in the ground cumin, dried oregano, and a pinch of salt and black pepper. Let the mixture cook together for 2–3 minutes.
Lower the heat and pour in the sour cream and heavy cream, stirring constantly to create a smooth mixture. Allow the sauce to gently simmer for 4–5 minutes.
Stir in the lime juice to add a touch of brightness and balance the richness of the cream. Taste and adjust the seasoning with more salt or pepper if needed.
Remove from heat and pour the sauce into a serving bowl or directly over your favorite dish. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley or basil for a burst of color and freshness.
