- 2 large ripe peaches peeled, pitted, and chopped
- 1 teaspoon oil or butter
- 1 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
In a saucepan over medium heat, warm oil or butter. Add chopped peaches and cook for 3–4 minutes until softened and fragrant.
Stir in ketchup, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, and brown sugar. Let it bubble gently, stirring occasionally.
Mix in Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, ginger, garlic powder, onion powder, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper. Stir until everything combines in a uniform sauce.
Keep simmering uncovered over low heat for about 15 minutes. Stir occasionally until the sauce thickens and flavors meld.
Remove pot from heat. Let the sauce cool slightly. Transfer to a blender or use an immersion blender. Blend until smooth or leave a bit chunky if you like texture.
Pour sauce into a jar or container. Let it come to room temperature before sealing. Refrigerate up to one week.
