- 2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
- ½ cup honey (add more to taste)
- 1 cup orange juice
- Zest of 1 orange
- ⅓ cup brown sugar adjust as needed
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground cumin
- Pinch of salt
- Fresh cilantro chopped (for garnish)
Rinse the fresh or frozen cranberries under cool water and pick out any soft or damaged ones. Add them to a medium saucepan.
Pour in the orange juice, then add the honey and brown sugar. Stir gently to dissolve the sweeteners before heating.
Mix in the orange zest, red pepper flakes, ground cinnamon, ground cumin, and a pinch of salt.
Place the saucepan over medium heat. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally. Cook for 10–12 minutes.
