Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar or honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons jerk seasoning blend
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper adjust to taste for spiciness
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup pineapple juice
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine ketchup, brown sugar, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
  • Add jerk seasoning blend, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, ground ginger, ground allspice, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg. Mix well.
  • Pour in pineapple juice, lime juice, and olive oil. Stir to incorporate the ingredients evenly.
  • Allow the sauce to simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly. For a smoother consistency, blend the sauce using an immersion blender or regular blender.
  • Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning if necessary. Add more salt, cayenne pepper, or sweetener to suit your preference.
