Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz 1 bag fresh or frozen cranberries
  • ¾ cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • cup brown sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ¼ cup brandy
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, mix cranberries, orange juice, orange zest, brown sugar, red pepper flakes, cinnamon, cumin, and a pinch of salt.
  • Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat. Simmer for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cranberries burst and the mixture thickens.
  • Stir in brandy and cook for another 2–3 minutes to blend the flavors.
  • Remove from heat and let cool. The sauce will continue to thicken. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

For a smoother consistency, use an immersion blender directly in the saucepan or transfer the mixture to a blender. Blend until you reach your desired texture.
