Equipment

  • Medium saucepan
  • Wooden spoon or spatula
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Blender or immersion blender (optional)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup Sriracha sauce
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the ketchup, Sriracha sauce, fresh lime juice, honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Stir in the minced garlic, onion powder, smoked paprika, and a pinch of salt and black pepper.
  • Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer. Allow it to cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly and the flavors meld together.
  • For a smoother consistency, transfer the sauce to a blender or use an immersion blender to blend until smooth.
  • Give the sauce a taste and adjust the seasoning if needed. You can add more honey for sweetness, Sriracha for heat, or lime juice for acidity according to your preference.
