- 1/4 cup minced onion
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water for thickening
- Optional: 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Heat sesame oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add minced onion, garlic, and grated ginger. Sauté until fragrant, about 2 minutes.
Pour in ketchup, molasses, teriyaki sauce, water, rice wine vinegar, dark brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir to combine.
