Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup ripe apricots pitted and chopped
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce or soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper adjust to taste
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  • Stir in chopped apricots, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, honey, and Worcestershire sauce (or soy sauce). Sprinkle in onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper to taste.
  • Simmer the mixture for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apricots are softened and the sauce thickens to your desired consistency.
  • For a smoother texture, use an immersion blender to blend the sauce until smooth.
  • Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before using it as a glaze for grilling your favorite meats or vegetables. Enjoy the sweet and tangy flavor with a hint of smokiness!

Notes

Brown sugar contains molasses, which contributes to its moist texture and deep flavor. Adding brown sugar to the sauce along with molasses can enhance its complexity and sweetness.
