  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup BBQ sauce preferably smoky and slightly spicy
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: a few dashes of hot sauce for extra heat

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, buttermilk, and sour cream. Whisk until smooth and creamy.
  • Pour in the BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, honey, and Dijon mustard. Stir well to ensure all the ingredients are fully incorporated.
  • Add the minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, onion powder, dried dill, dried parsley, dried chives, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until the sauce is well blended.
  • Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning if necessary. If you prefer a spicier kick, add a few dashes of hot sauce to your liking.
  • Transfer the sauce to an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

Notes

If you prefer a thicker sauce, reduce the amount of buttermilk or add more sour cream. For a thinner consistency, increase the buttermilk or add a splash of milk.
